Why are our helipads made of aluminium?
an aluminium structure weighs 50-60% less than an equivalent steel design, and this translates into a notable saving on the amount of material required and the costs of assembly. This reduced weight also makes the aluminium structure easier to manufacture, install and manage. The same benefits apply to the construction of heliports at height or at ground level, thus allowing for greater flexibility in design and construction.
Properly designed marine-alloy structures are practically maintenance-free. This is because of the non-corrosive properties of aluminium.
